WHO: Despina embarked on her journey in FCBD®Style in 2006 under the guidance of Mimi Fontana and as a founding member of Manhattan Tribal. By 2009, she achieved her FCBD®Style General Skills certification, followed by her FCBD®Style Teacher Training certification in 2015. Over the years, Despina has showcased her talent both in group performances and as a soloist, consistently pushing the boundaries of the style on stage. In 2014, she delved into training in the Salimpour School, immersing herself in the roots of Jamila Salimpour style. Drawing inspiration from Suhaila Salimpour's teachings, she began incorporating intricate finger cymbal patterns and a detailed method on breaking down movement. Despina's innovative approach has led her to craft exhilarating and distinctive dance combos, imbued with her unique flair and style.
