Travelling on the Tonle Sap river to visit the floating Vietnamese village. Homes on stilts along the Tonle Sap river. This is how Cambodians protect their property during the annual floods from the Monsoon rain.
We each rented a motorcycle taxi to travel to Kabal Spean. Rice paddies outside of Siem Reap.
Kabal Spean means "Bridgehead", but it's more commonly known as the "River of a Thousand Lingas". Above this fine waterfall, carvings of Vishnu and Shiva, a cow and a frog have been discovered.
The water is purified as it flows over the stone carvings of "Linga". If you look closely, you can see where thieves have removed the head off one of the stone deities to sell on the black market. Brad's motorcycle got a flat tire so we all piled on to one vehicle for our trip back to town.
