Who is Diana Susanto? A life long dancer, Diana discovered her passion for sewing and creating her own clothing at the age of 15. After finishing high school in Germany , she decided to make her hobby into her profession. Diana started her way in fashion with an apprenticeship as a couture dressmaker at the State Theater in her hometown, Karlsruhe . In 2005 Diana moved to New York to study at Parsons New School for one year and then continued her fashion studies at Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated in May 2009 with an Award of honor.

Stevie is based in Los Angeles and has studied classical ballet, jazz and tap most of her life and has been bellydancing for 2.5 years. She has acted in commercials and movies plus danced in many productions. She is part of FAG, is the new assistant director to main choreographer, Jillina. After auditioning in February this year, she was recruited to the Superstars in April. She is taking a 1 week break from a 2.5 month stint in Monte Carlo, Monaco. About "American Bellydancer":

Kaeshi was taking 5 New York dancers, Hannah Nour, Laura Jordan, Matina Wastor, Mimi Fontana, and Blanca and Karim Nagi (tabla player from Boston) to Hanoi, Vietnam. 45,000 people were expected to be in the audience and the concert was going to be televised to 2 billion people. Kaeshi will be peforming Chinese dance again at the inaugural NTDTV Chinese New Year Global Gala. As a teenager, she toured Australia performing traditional Chinese dance with the Australian Chinese Youth League.) Chinese organizations and individuals from all over the world will join NTDTV in producing the gala. World class performers will be featured in this showcase of the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese people, plus some of the best artistic traditions of the West. The Gala celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year with the global Chinese community.

Bellyqueen on 2003 Lollapalooza US Tour
Lollapalooza bands include, Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age, Jurassic 5 and the Donnas. Visit the official Lollapalooza web site.

Amar Gamal is part of the Bellydance Superstars line up and Kaeshi is part of the Desert Roses troupe. Other Superstars are, Jillina (LA), Ansuya (Miami), Sonia (LA), Rania (LA), Rachel Brice (SF). Other Desert Roses are Nura (Puerto Rico), Adaliz (Puerto Rico), Geogianne (LA), Colleen (LA).

The first 30-40 minute bellydance set will take place on the second stage around 1.55-2.30pm OR on some days it's at 5.40-6.15pm. The second 10 minute bellydance set opens up for Audio Slave on the main stage, around 7.50pm immediately after Incubus finishes their set and before Audio Slave goes on.

"Club dates" indicate additional shows outside of Lollapalooza that will be 1.5 hours of pure bellydance. Please come to these dates if you want to see more Bellyqueen and Superstars/Desert Roses material.

There will also be special in-store appearances at Borders book stores to promote upcoming instructional DVDs. (Jillina Level 1, 2, 3 and Bellyqueen's "Bellydance Jam".)

Bellyqueen the troupe has been invited down to Miami to teach and perform by the highly respected and renown dancer Tamalyn Dallal.

Amar Gamal has been invited along with Jehan Kamal to Buenos Aires by world renown dancer/choreographer Amir Thaleb to teach some special dance workshops.

Saturday July 29th 2000 4.00pm: PS1 Museum
Kaeshi will be one of the bellydancers featured in Australian performance artist' Fassih Keiso's 40 minute piece titled 'I Want To See Bellydancers, Don't You?' at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center. There will be no dancing, it's an live exhibition of dancers in costumes with cell phones. E-mail Fassih for more information.

Kaeshi will be attending the World Sacred Music Festival in Fez, Morocco and the Cairo Oriental Dance Festival in Egypt hosted by Raqia Hassan.

Jenna will be appearing on HBO's comedy 'Sex and the City' as a 'new age' bellydance instructor. And in case you are wondering, she does not usually teach a class this way. ;-)

Kaeshi will be performing in a dance gala organized by Cathy Skora at the beautiful Pfeiffer Theater with the troupe Maqamikaze, headed up by the very talented Ranya, during the 3 day intensive workshop in Buffalo New York taught by the legend, Elena.

Saturday 6th May 2000: F.I.T.
Kaeshi will be performing along with many others as part of a Turkish event at F.I.T., the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Thursday 27th April 2000 8.45pm: Stonybrook College.
Amar Gamal and Kaeshi will be performing for a culture night for graduate students at Stonybrook College located in Long Island.

Tues 29th Feb 2000: Theatre East.
Ranya & friends present an evening of Middle Eastern dance at Theatre East, 211 E. 60th St. between 3rd and 2nd Ave. Ranya and special guests Dalia Carella, Rayhana, Sarah and Kaeshi in a stage performance of repertoire, works-in-progress, and traditional oriental dance.

Monday 28th Feb 2000: Black History Month.
Amar Gamal will be performing for Black History Month at an educational institution, sponsored by Motorola.

Kaeshi will be appearing alongside the very special dancer/actress/singer Djembe and a buffet of other East Village Artists performance artists presenting works-in-progress at the Pink Pony.
