She is considered one of the foremost Middle Eastern Dance artists, instructors and choreographers in the United States.
She is the Artistic Director of the UCSB Middle East Dance Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Scott Marcus.
She has produced a number of popular DVD’s including the best-selling popular four-part instructional series, “The Ancient Art of Belly Dancing”. Her awards include winning first place at the Belly Dancer of the Year pageant in Walnut Creek, the Nafisa Gem Award for Best Instructor, Best Cabaret Dancer, 2003 and Best Instructor, 1999 by IAMED.
She continues to direct her company, Seher, and travels extensively throughout the world teaching and performing.

Workshop participants automatically have the option of performing at the show!
Props to Bring: Knee pads, finger cymbals and a rectangular veil. Alexandra King will also demo semi-circular veils and also has some for sale.
Private Lessons: Alexandra King is available for private lessons in NYC for the short time she is in town. They are priced at $60 for 1-2 people. Students are responsible for covering their own studio rental. Please e-mail her directly alexandra@alexandraking.com to set this up.
